Hugo Fajardo Arana

Social Media & Content Intern

Hugo (he/him) joined EnCorps in the Fall of 2021 to serve as the organization’s first ever Social Media and Content Intern. Raised in Los Angeles, he is a first-gen college graduate with 2 Bachelor degrees in Marketing and Latin American Studies from Tulane University. His past roles include being a supervisor for his campus’ Service Learning Assistants program, in which student workers like him coordinated service learning activities between the school and nonprofit partners in the New Orleans community, as well as a Community Engagement Advocate, in which he organized and facilitated workshops surrounding topics of diversity, equity and inclusion. He has experience as an intern for an entertainment marketing agency in the L.A. area as well as the Social Media Editor for his campus’ student-run independent newspaper. Hugo hopes to combine all his forementioned skills to strengthen EnCorps’ reach to new and potentially high-achieving educators, and as a son of Salvadoran immigrants he wants to see other students of color succeed in their passions and pathways.
