With the EnCorps STEM Teachers Program, professionals and subject-matter experts in science, technology, engineering and math can explore becoming a middle or high school teacher in under-resourced schools in California and New York City areas. The EnCorps STEM Teachers Program is an innovative approach to the STEM teachers shortage as well as the low math proficiency scores nationwide.

EnCorps STEM Teachers

The EnCorps STEMx Tutors Program provides STEM professionals and college students the opportunity to virtually tutor middle school math. Tutors are volunteers who meet online with students in under-resourced schools for one hour, twice per week for a minimum of one semester.

As a STEMx Tutor you can make a significant difference in a student’s life: 84% of students who took part in the program increased their math proficiency in the 2022-23 school year.
