Executive Director
Angel Beamer, EnCorps’ Executive Director, is an education leader with more than 20 years of experience spanning classroom teaching, school leadership, teacher development, and nonprofit leadership. She began her career in the Los Angeles Unified School District, where she served as both a teacher and administrator, leading school-based initiatives and supporting the development of new educators. Those experiences shaped her belief that strong mentorship and real-world relevance are critical to teacher success and student engagement.
Since joining EnCorps in 2016, Angel has helped lead the organization’s growth into a statewide nonprofit focused on strengthening the STEM and Career Technical Education teacher pipeline in high-need schools and communities across California. Prior to becoming Executive Director, she served as Program Director, where she led strategic partnerships, expanded regional programming, and helped deepen connections between industry and classrooms.
Most recently, Angel collaborated with LAUSD to launch the EnCorps CTE Mentorship Alliance, a mentorship-based initiative designed to support and retain new Career Technical Education teachers through structured coaching, peer collaboration, and industry-connected instructional practices.
Angel’s leadership is grounded in a commitment to educational equity and workforce-connected learning. She is passionate about helping students access meaningful STEM and career pathways while ensuring teachers receive the mentorship, support, and industry connection needed to thrive in the classroom.
