Katrina is a 18+ year Communications professional with a demonstrated track record in creating and managing B2C and B2B partnership campaigns in Education, Tech/Gaming, and Entertainment. Her mentorship and Board work spans across nonprofit organizations like Girls in Tech, Private School Village, Technovation and Black Girls Code because of her innate passion to aid underserved communities through education. Prior to joining EnCorps, Jefferson was the Head of Communications and Partnerships for Sugar Gamers & Sugar Gamers Labs, a community of inspiring and diverse Game professionals who drive social impact through gamified activations. She was also the Social Media and Partnerships Director for Soul Beach Music Festival, an R&B and Soul music festival previously located in Aruba, where she managed both philanthropic and social campaigns digitally and onsite.
Katrina is a strong advocate for equitable and inclusive opportunities. From volunteering to teach in NFTE (National Federation for Teaching Entrepreneurship) partnered schools to substitute teaching for the Los Angeles School district for 5 years, she believes that every student needs a mentor and a cheerleader. Katrina attended Spelman College and is a graduate of both San Francisco State University and The Art Institute.
