We’re excited to share our recent experience at RS&H’s executive retreat in Phoenix this September, where EnCorps showcased our impactful STEMx Tutors Program! RS&H, a leader in architecture, engineering, and consulting, reached out to explore ideas about how their employees could make a difference in STEM education through EnCorps programming—and we couldn’t have be more thrilled to come up with a solution!!
Ashley Lentz and Ramiro Lobo from our STEMx team led a dynamic session that had RS&H staff stepping into the shoes of a sixth grader. Imagine the challenge of simplifying complex ideas! The interactive activity shared with the RS&H leadership team not only highlighted the art of tutoring but also sparked enthusiasm for sharing knowledge with young learners in need.
We also discussed the urgent need for math tutoring, revealing the significant learning gaps many students are facing in the aftermath of the pandemic. It was heartening to see the RS&H team’s strong interest in getting involved and making a difference as we walked through the session.
Together, we’re building bridges between STEM professionals, middle and high school students, and school districts, and we’re thrilled to launch a great relationship with RS&H. We invite you to join us in this fulfilling journey—become a tutor or explore teaching and help inspire the next generation of STEM leaders!
Let’s make a lasting impact together!
