Interim Executive Director | Program Director

Angel Beamer, EnCorps’ Interim Executive Director, is an accomplished education leader with more than 20 years of experience spanning classroom teaching, school leadership, and program development. Her career began as a teacher and administrator in Los Angeles Unified School District, where she helped create teacher mentorship programs that continue to support new educators across the district. This work fueled her belief in mentorship as a powerful driver of teacher success and student achievement.

Since joining EnCorps in 2016, Angel has guided the organization’s growth from a regional initiative in Southern California to a statewide program serving underrepresented communities with high-quality STEM education. In her previous role as Program Director, she has led innovative partnerships and program strategies that expand opportunity for both students and educators. Most recently, she collaborated with LAUSD to launch the EnCorps CTE Mentorship Alliance, a program designed to train and support new teachers in Career Technical Education pathways through meaningful, structured mentorship.

Angel’s leadership is grounded in equity and in the transformative potential of STEM as a gateway to opportunity. She brings a unique blend of classroom experience, system-level vision, and an unwavering commitment to ensuring every student has access to inclusive and impactful learning environments.
